Russia to develop a new IP strategy

The Russian government is planning a new IP program, which is aimed to create favourable conditions for the rapid development of the country’s science and economy.

Statistics show Russia’s import rates to be 11 times higher than export rates. There is also a decrease in high-tech sales volumes in recent years. Experts estimate there to be enough scientists and mental resources to boost the area, but the current lack of strategy makes development difficult.

In addition, there is a desire to reduce the recent increase in the spread of counterfeit goods and to begin giving interest-free loans to domestic companies wishing to protect intellectual property abroad.
